The TOA DT-930 is a frequency-synthesized AM monaural FM stereomonaural tuner designed to fill the need for broadcast program material in both background and foreground music systems used in commercial environments. An at-a glance large digital display indicates the desired selections - radio station, memory preset, tuning mode and frequency band. Allowing true global use, the tuner offers a simple power-up procedure to match world broadcast standards by independently changing the frequency ranges and frequency steps for the AM and FM bands. To facilitate operation, the DT-930 offers 40 memory presets for stations from CH 1 to CH 40 and these can be divided as desired between AM and FM stations. Scanning can be simply performed with a choice of scanning by station frequencies or memory preset numbers. Then the automatic up or down station scan control can be used to select the next preset or frequency that is used. In addition, manual station tuning is also provided using the station updown tuning bar. Both these tuning methods can be set independently for the AM and FM bands. Another selection method is by direct entry of a frequency or memory preset number into the display. Up to 40 stations in any combination of AM and FM frequencies can be selected and stored to 40 memory presets. The presets are stored in non-volatile memory so even they are safe even when the power is off. Tuning APT function that works in either local or distant mode. It operates by scanning automatically from the lowest frequency of the band selected. As it scans, it will automatically enter the first 20 stations it encounters for both the AM and FM bands. The result is automatic programming of all memory presets. The output level stereomonaural is 15dBV output to allow driving loads of 10k ohm or higher which is optimized for driving the line inputs of TOA mixers and amplifiers.
