I've been a Hauppauge buyer since the ISA card days for 15+ years.br /br /The 350 still a main stay though now has been outpaced!br /br /The 950 USB version which rocked (pre DTV mandate).br /br /The 950Q version is AWESOME!br /br /I bought a 1600 PCI card....Booooo! Returned it within 24 hours!br /Even with a HDTV roof antenna attached.br /br /No signal, and look at the back, a MAC address!br /br /Being a Non-Doze person my logs could see that the 1600 was a Ether NIC collecting info and sending, well....br /Doze people would NEVER know, for puppy dogs help them "search".br /The 1600 is a SERIOUS breach of security,br /br /OK, here is the review on the 950Q!br /IT ROCKS!!!br /In *NIX land, no installation necessary, no software, just RUNS!!!br /And WOW does it RUN!br /Best DVB receiver I have!br /Yes to be honest, via Win7, and all their "Ya have to have"! I tested it!br /Major NO WAY!br /br /No go on MOST of the channels and, capturing is fragmented "At Best"br /br /The 950Q does 1080p yeppers (p) and in AWESOME raw capture mode.br /br /If one wants a GREAT PVR, get a 950Q, (sans Doze) and ENJOY better than the tripe from cable and satellite (which they call Clear-QAM, "made up", just MPEG2-TS...Low quality compression)br /br /A 950Q sans Doze is THE "BEST BUY" (pun intended)!br /br /Go Amazon!!! br /br /br /br /br /

I've had this for about two weeks now and am quite satisfied.br /Installation was very easy.....hooked it up to my cable and plugged it into the computer.br /Opened my media center and clicked on "live TV" and the set-up continued with a channel search.br /Haven't tried the remote yet....I prefer just using the mouse.br /My only concern is that the tuner does get pretty hot after being in use for awhile.....
